Why your Australian website is slow, not mobile-friendly, or not ranking
How to fix a slow site, make it mobile-friendly, recover a traffic drop after redesign, and when to hire an SEO specialist in Australia in 2026.

If the site takes more than three seconds on mobile data, more than half of visitors leave before they read a word. That is a speed problem, then an SEO problem, then a conversion problem — in that order.
Slow site
Run PageSpeed Insights. If mobile is below 50, compress images, kill unused plugins, and fix hosting before you buy ads. A web developer can do this without a rebuild.
Not mobile-friendly
The layout should not require pinching. The phone number should be tap-to-call. The form should work with a thumb. 47% of Australian small businesses with fewer than 20 staff still fail basic mobile usability.
Not ranking
Google needs a unique title and description, location in the copy, more than one indexable page, HTTPS, and a Google Business Profile linked to the site. Hire an SEO specialist for the technical gaps; do not buy 80 doorway suburb pages you do not service.
Traffic drop after a redesign
Usual causes: URLs changed without redirects, titles rewritten into slogans, the blog 404s, or the new theme is slower than the old one. Fix redirects first. Then compare Search Console queries before vs after.
High bounce on a landing page
The first screen does not say who you help, what you do, and what to do next. One call to action. Real photos. A form that actually emails you.
