For Pinterest / merchants / marketplaces: this page is our public, complete returns and refunds policy. Canonical URL: https://www.techaidaustralia.com.au/returns-policy

1. Who we are

This Returns & Refunds Policy is issued by Stormy Chase Forrester trading as Tech Aid Australia (ABN 33 959 110 665). Website: www.techaidaustralia.com.au.

This policy applies to purchases and payments made through our website and related services, including the Security Shop, subscriptions, tech support bookings, and escrow marketplace engagements.

2. Australian Consumer Law (your rights)

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a product or service has a major failure, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement, or other remedies. Minor failures may be remedied by repair, replacement, or refund.

3. Shop products (physical & digital goods)

3.1 Change of mind — physical goods

For unused physical products purchased from our shop, you may request a return within 14 days of delivery for a change of mind, provided the item is unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition.

3.2 Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos (where relevant). We will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund under the ACL at no cost to you for valid claims.

3.3 Digital products

Downloadable or digital products are generally non-returnable once access or download has been provided, except where required by the ACL (for example a major failure that prevents the product from working as described).

4. Subscriptions & memberships

If you are charged for a subscription and change your mind, email us within 7 days of the charge and we will generally refund that charge (goodwill refund), provided there has not been substantial use of paid features during that period.

To avoid future charges, cancel before the next renewal date via your account settings or by emailing hello@techaidaustralia.com.au.

5. Tech support bookings & service sessions

6. Marketplace & escrow (hiring freelancers)

7. How to request a return or refund

  1. Email hello@techaidaustralia.com.au with subject “Return or refund request”.
  2. Include: full name, email used at purchase, order/transaction ID, product or service name, reason, and photos if damaged/faulty.
  3. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve within 5–10 business days where possible.
  4. Approved refunds go to the original payment method.

8. Non-returnable items

Unless required by the ACL, generally not eligible for change-of-mind returns: opened hygiene/sealed software where packaging integrity is required; custom/personalised goods; redeemed gift cards/credit; digital downloads after access; completed marketplace work you have accepted.

9. Shipping of returns

For approved physical returns, we provide an Australian return address and reference. Use a trackable service. We are not responsible for untracked returns lost in transit.
